my sons Ipod touch would not turn on. I connected it to the laptop and ITUNES came on and said it was in in Recovery Mode and to Restore. Which i did but it seems to be taking an age on the Restoring Ipod firmware stage is this normal if so on average how long does this take and will it sort the problem of turning it on?
    Any Ideas

Ok, find the firmware 2.2.1 on the internet and download it, then put the ipod into DFU mode (watch a vid on youtube if you have to) and click alt + click (i think its alt + click) select the firmware and restore, try that, if it doesn't work reply back.

Oh, and it shouldn't take hours, only 10-20 mins at tops.
