Ipod Nano and Touch.

    Why is it on Apple's site it says that the 16GB Nano can hold 4,000 songs, while the 16GB Touch can only hold 3,500. The same goes with the 8GB's. The Nano can hold 2,000, while the touch can only hold 1,750.

    Probably because the firmware it runs on takes up more space.

    prolly because ours hold apps and we have all the other stuff so we dont have as much space as the nanos because they cant do what we can

    hmmmmm maybe because the touch has a bigger OS and all sorts of apps...


    which surprisingly take up space..

    im guessing that the touches interface is larger than the nanos. ex a 4 gb flash drive has like 3.79 gb on it. so the main menue adnall built in feaures take up mor mem than teh nanos

    So this is kind of like with my PS3 says that it is 80GB, but only really has like 74 useable?

    Apple knows that the firware will take a lot of space.

    Holds true with firmware, but you can always have songs with smaller sizes and quite possibly have more songs than estimated on the info of each iPod.
