you know what is my guess about the ipod nano and shuffle (the new ones) they cut the nano in two and then make 2 devices from it!

Not really as the ipod shuffle 4th gen looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the 2nd gen one

I wouldnt be surprised if what they done was got the 2nd gen ipod shuffle and just edited the software inside to support to support voice over

It doesn't look exactly the same. There are differences. It looks very similar. Just to be annoying

Yea but its small changes that wouldnt take that long to do, they should have made the ipod nano as the new shuffle this way it would seem like theres new features but no they didnt do that and now this nano has less features than the previous and when customers buy it they will feel angry when they realize there is no video support and not to mention a camera

I strongly suspect they both started out as prototype designs for the shuffle, and Apple decided to remarked one of them as the Nano when they realized they didn't have any updates planned for the Nano and Classic.

no... It isn't the same as the 2-nd gen shuffle because the buttons are exactily the same as in the 4 and 5-th gen ipod nano
As to the ipod nano the screen got smaller and no camera, no video...only touchscreen is cool to this nano... My opinion: they ruined the nano and by the way look at the box they came in... It looks like old chinese fake iphone box... I dunno if apple did the right thing...

I think apple did a bad job on the nano this time.
4G -> 5G was pretty nice. Not much more than what you'd expect from apple.
5G -> 6G was a disappointment IMO. They don't have any multimedia portable platforms left that aren't touch based.
