    Hello everyone,

    can anyone help me? I have a 3rd generation ipod nano and I want to turn off the option that makes it go into standby automatically after a while when it's paused or not in use. So I only want it to shut down when I hold the play/pause button for a few seconds.

    This might be an unusual wish, but I use the Ipod as a device for live performances and the "clicking" sound that is heard when i turn it back on after standby is somewhat awful.

    Thank you for any ideas!

    Under settings>sleep timer and clicker if you want to get rid of it. It might be different since I used my mum's classic.

    With SBSettings you can determite what happens when you press the powerbutton

    @Lux2GS and 15avaughn:
    yes i was going to say that about sbsetting, too. but thank you anyways!

    @badboy.mjk:
    Thanks for the hint but unfortunately the ipod nano 3g doesn't have the setting (at least i couldn't find it...). Too bad, maybe I have to get a classic then!
    Can you really make it stay on all the time when it's paused?
