ipod malfunction

    for some reason, after i restored(time 2) to my custom firmware for 2.2.1, my ipod shut off when itunes was done restoring, and it wont turn back on. i thought you couldn't brick the 2g!

    ill have to say, im pretty pissed off. anyone have ideas?

    put it in dfu then restore

    When you're in DFU mode... the screen doesn't turn on.

    Hold both buttons for 10 seconds then you should hear the USB Disconnect sound now let go of the power button but keep hold of the home button until it pops back up saying USB Device not recognized. Now you're in DFU mode!

    Here's how to get it to boot properly.

    If the device is unrecognized you have to put it into DFU mode by listening for the USB disconnect and connect sounds on Windows.

    Do as Kebabs said above to get into DFU mode.

    Then follow the instructions below.
