    hello iPTF

im having trouble with my 2g ipod touch. now i have it jailbroken on 4.0.
i did expect it to be slow, but this is rdiculous. i cant open music sometimes because its so slow.
is there anyway i can make it go faster? without taking off the jailbreak or downgrading?

    thanks Roondog12355

You could delete some launch daemons. Or try installing Sbsettings in cydia, then free up some memory.
And you probably have multitasking enabled, am I right? You have to remove the apps from backgrounding, or your device will slow down alot ):

well i used to have sbsettings, until i thought it was slowing it down, cause it kept saying 7-9mb free memory. and how do i disable multitasking? also how do you free up memory with sbsettings?

System/library/coreservices/springboard.app and then open n247a plist or something like that, you'll know when you see it. Take out the lines that say multitasking and true then reboot

try restoring first. A friend had the same problem and it started getting better.

Try disabling spotlight if you dont use it. I've read that fixed sluggishness on iOS4 running on the iphone 3G, which has identical hardware to a 2G touch.
