Ok this morning I noticed that my iPod would open random apps by itself. sometimes it would open Safari and other times is would open notes and start highlighting the notes and the "copy/paste) bubble would come up.

I'm not sure if this a 3.0 only issue or maybe it's just my iPod. I re-jailbroke my device and the same issue is happening. I thought it could be some spyware so I turned off my wifi but it still does it (probably dumb thought).

So any ideas what it could be? Is something wrong with my touch screen?

A similar thing happened to my iPhone. The keyboard would type by itself; the touch screen seemed to think my thumbs skimming the screen (not touching it) were real inputs. It was quite ugly. Restoring didn't help; and an Apple Genius swapped it out - no questions asked.

I don't know if that's your issue; but try a restore, and if that fails, I hope you have a valid warranty...

Yes, I was just explaining that it happened to my iPhone, that's all. I know that it could have been interpreted that way. (I blame the Internet for its tonal inaccuracy
