I have an iPod brought to me by the owner and there seems nothing I can do about it being disabled. It says to connect to iTunes but every time I try this messages appears:
iTunes cannot connect to this iPod because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on your iPod before it can be used with iTunes.
I cannot get him to type in his passcode or connect to iTunes, should I just tell him to get a new one or something?

You need the passcode from the original user. Otherwise, itunes would consider it as stolen.

You need to get the password.

If so, best not tell him how to break the code.

Agreed. If you bought it, the owner should either unlock it, or give you the passcode.

That is, of course, if you actually know the original owner.

ok so what do you do if its disabled ... I have the passcode, only it doesnt give the option of entering it..two buttons one refreshes the screen (wich says "ipod disabled connect to Itunes") the other holding it down gives you the option of shutting it down or cancel ... no option of entering the code
