my ipod is being sent to apple repair service for a hardware problem
now what im thinking is that maybe if i put a letter in the box that i want the OLD iPod back too because it was a gift to me from my parents and it is very special to me and i dont want it to be thrown away. well they send the old one back toooo?
is this worth a try or too risky?
I WILL REP FOR GOOD REPLIES

I 99% sure they wont give you the old one AND the new
Either way it will probably get replaced

1 question could you still use your old ipod? If so I dont think they will give you two. Plus it is a little too risky. They're gonna wonder if you'll sell it for money, thus losing them money. But if you wanted a free Ipod this would be the way to do it. If you do follow through with it keep us informed on what happens.
who knows maybe you'll get lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!

    the iPod is FULLY functional
except that the headphone jack is messed up a bit although it can play music...just when u move the cord, the sound goes buggy...and i know its not the headphones...
will risk be as in they wont repair or replace my ipod?

it not too risky. worst thing happens is that they say no, but fix/replace your ipod, and send back one.
i just dont think theres that big of a chance that this would work anyways.

I say if the guy that unboxes it is nice (60 percent chance) you'll get it back. Otherwise, if it's just some lazy apple employee I wouldn't hold my breath. You could tell them some sob story instead like, We've been through so much! That morning on Christmas I was so happy and I wish the least you could do would be to return him to me. I hope we don't get seperated again!
