Ipod in recovery mode and wont restore

    Alright i didnt even do anything to my ipod yet all i did was download files for the jailbreak thats it my ipod wasnt even pluged in then when i pluged in my ipod my comp didnt detect it at all

    Try putting it into DFU and then connecting it.

    k ill try that
    ------------------double post merged------------------
    wont go in to dfu or whatever and th ipod is off i hold pwer and home for 10 secs then let go of power and keep holding home but it wont go into dfu

    That could be the problem.
    If you are on Vista: Are you sure you checked "compatible with windows xp sp 2"?
    If on XP: Try removing libusb.

    Right click on libusb -> Properties -> Compatibily -> check compatible with windows xp sp2
