"ipod has been restored to its factory settings"

    2G iPod touch
    so when i upload the custom firmware it works and says "ipod has been restored to its factory settings ipod will now reboot"
    but it doesn't, it just sits on black screen...
    i was forced to restore it....
    any ideas on how to help?

    (NOTE: using redsn0w tool 1.0)

    u have to go through a process to get it to turn on lol...READ

    lol, it won't boot because it's a tethered jailbreak. You have to send the ibss from 2.1.1 then do some commads and send the patched iboot from 2.2.1 then send the patched ibss from 2.1.1 then type go.
    OR USE A BOOT TOOL
