Is it normal for the ipod touch to get warm when charging it?
Maybe a little warm near the dock connector, but not hot.
Well its not hot but it is warm and i would say its the whole back not just by the dock
It shouldn't be too much of a problem. If it gets worse, talk to Apple about it.
Does the whole back of yours also get warm?. this is the first time i ever picked it up
and the whole thing was warm
I noticed if you're brightness is pretty high up, it gets warmer. I usually have mine set on one notch about minimum, the other day I pushed it all the way up while looking at google maps, and it got pretty hot to the touch; almost to the point you might say its on the low end of "too hot to touch;" touchable but not for a long time, lol.
OMG YES!!! this alway happen to me when i am charging my ipod!!!!!! i hvae to plug it in and turn the fan on high to kep it cool.. before the fan i had to sit in front of my ipod and check if it is over heating. if it does i remove it and leave it on my desk for 30 minute to continue... i can go to apple store because it is very far from where i live. plus i get to go there like... never...
my ipod gets hot on and off. the chance of it getting hot (not warm) is 65%. well i have been lucky for a week... i hope it stays like that till september!!!!! (new deivices)
I have had my 16 GB Touch since last September and I never had any overheating issues (unless of course, I left the screen on and disabled auto-lock). But, ever since I upgraded to 2.0 (non-jailbroken) it has been getting extremely hot. I'm beginning to think this is a much larger issue than we think. http://gizmodo.com/5032166/iphone-3g-gets-hot-and-melty-cooks-dudes-leg
warm, but not really hot. In the operations manual it says its common for the ipod touch to get warm during use.
