Hello, i'm not exactlly sure what happened, I downloaded a few applications from installer..

And when I shut off my iPod touch... I went to turn it back on and it froze at the apple startup icon..

Ive left it on for ages and yet it still does it.. Ive forced restarted it and everything..

I would restore my iPod.. But my computer got reinstalled and i lost my movies and episodes from iTunes...

    So can anyone help?

If you need to contact me personally my msn is javaboy@runejava.net

Not if it's frozen. Although sometimes before a restore it gives you the option to back up your files, whatever that means. I've never had to do that so I don't know much about that.

u do not need to restore,

open ziphone and put it in dfu mode.

wait for it 2 finish then put it in recovery mode then unplug and plug back in

then put it in normail mode and it will be fine

    @stuartw:
    WHAT?!! DFU MODE??
I once accidentally put a friend's touch into DFU mode in ziphone (i was kinda n00bish at that time and wanted to know what it did

) and every time i tried to boot it in normal or recovery again ziphone said i had 2 restore it in itunes. He said he didnt want all of his tv shows gone!!

On a mac, try Senuti (here) and simply transfer the shows which u want

On a pc try another tool, for example iphonebrowser (here) and copy /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control somewhere. Somewhere inside the Music folder your tv shows will be

If that doesnt work, use iphuc (google it, it will come up as the first or second result) and enter:

    cd iTunes_Control/Music
    cd F00
    ls
(then look at all the video (.mp4, .m4v, etc) files if there are some in the folder)
(for all of those files issue: )
    getfile VIDEO.mp4 /Where/u/want/2/put/the/file/on/ur/computer.mp4
    (then type in: )
    cd /iTunes_Control/Music/F01
(and then do ls and getfile again)
(repeat all of these steps again, then cd /iTunes_Control/Music/F02 and so forth until u reached to F13 and looked into that, then u should have all ur video files on ur computer)

Sorry for the complicated iphuc guide, it doesnt allow u to download folders so u have 2 do it with every single file.

Rep me if i helped, please. It took me 20 minutes 2 write this!

Weird... I swear, when i tried to boot the ipot into recovery mode, ziphone said something like "Your device is in DFU mode. Please restore it in iTunes." and stopped. Same result when i tried to boot it into Normal Mode

No offense 2 u though, if it worked for u
I was using ziphone 2.6b then, on my ppc mac, as u see in the signature...
