ipod froze

    well i just recently jail broke it, but when i turned it off it it stayed at black screen. so i want to restore but it dont show up in itunes. its stuck at black sceen too. any help?

    well, you cant turn it off if you JB.

    You need to re-run the boot commands... download one of the booters or use a GUI like Cyw00ds (just do steps 5 -7) and it will come back to life.

    or, try this:
    put it in DFU mode
    (press and hold both Home and Power for 10 seconds, Release Power but continue holding home for around 8 more seconds)
    iTunes should now see it as being in recovery mode (an error will pop up)
    shift +click restore and pick the ORIGINAL 2.2.1 firmware

    This happened to me once I think it was a memory issue, I did a combination of plughing in the usb cord and pushed both buttons alot, I first tried to put it in restore mode without it being plugged into the computer and then later just started pushing the buttons a lot then tried the cord. I still don't know if I got it to reboot or if it just finished doing what it was doing and opened on its own. But I was at it like 15 minutes.
