Ive tried that..I press the home button, computer does detect it, Itunes opens, but says waiting for ipod, then an unknown error occurs..Ipod is still a black screen, never turns on..I used Ziphone to put it into DFU mode, but the Ziphone only did that after I held onto the home button then it detected, otherwise it didnt, now that its in DFU mode, I am supposed to open Itunes to restore it but ITunes doesnt even detect it so how is that possible

It could be stuck in DFU mode which gives it that appearence. Hold the home and power button for 15 seconds and then try turning it on.

put it into DFU mode, hold the home and power button at the same time for 10 seconds and then let go of power button but leaving the home button pressed until your computer reconizes it. i had the same problem and then i restored it

The iPod go to technical assistance!

Do you have any way of them discover that I was doing the jailbreak?
