    Hi,

I had several problems with updating to 2.0, I didn't get it done.. Error 1604, Error 6 ...

Now: I used another Computer to go back to 1.1.3..worked perfectly.

Installed iTunes and everything completely new on the other computer where it did not work.
I updated to a clean 2.0..seemed to work... but then... some other Error

My Ipod does not start anymore!! The Screen is black, nothing works, no DFU.
When I plug it in iTunes says something like "An iPod was detected but could not be identified. Replug it. Retry after that. An unknown error has occured (-3)"

    Replugging does not help!

    HELP!!

EDIT: currently trying this: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86468&highlight=screen black&page=2

EDIT2: Yes!! Sry for this thread, but I was in panic!

Ok... I bought the update from iTunes.. same problem now!

I will probably do the restore thing again the same way with a positive result.. BUT

Why is this happening now? Is this because of ipwn? "itunes has been pwned"?

I already uninstalled and reinstalled (the newest version) of iTunes.... how do I fix the problem? Something is terribly wrong here..

Your ipod is being recognized so your fin but your not intering dfu mode correctly
    Here are the steps:
    1. Plug in Your Ipod
    2. Make sure your iPod is off
    3. Hold Home & Power for 10 Seconds
    4. Then Let go of Power
    5. Hold home for about 15 seconds and listen for the ding

    If that doesnt work try
    1. Hold Home & Power For 7 Seconds
    2. Count to 2 Then let go of power
    3. Listen for the ding

I know how to get into DFU... iTunes tells me "Ipod in Recovery Mode found" (translated)

It will probably work completely fine on my laptop but NOT on my PC! Not after I used WinPwn
I didn't. Even though I thought so for a while. But the screen was totally black.. I wanted help to fix it... If I really thought it was bricked, I would have thrown it out or asked Apple.
