Return it and get a dock that compatible with a 3gen iPod touch.

If it supports the iPhone that doesn't mean that it'll support every iPod.

Get a wall charger. Apple's should support the 3 gen. But look that up just to be sure.

I will be travelling next month and my Touch is JB. I am just wondering if the wall plug will be a solution to the tethered problem. Can anyone confirm?

Also, are Touches, or all iPods for that matter, able to charge on 100 up to 240 voltage?

    Thanks.

What if you turn off your iPod and plug it to a wall charger. It just go into restore
mode. You'll need to rerun blackra1n.

Last quest you'll need google to answer that one

You will need to have a computer to do that, sorry! The wall charger will only charge it.

Thanks guys. It's not the answer I was hoping to hear, but now that I know, I need to find a solution / work around.

Just FYI, my Touch is from Canada but I am charging it via USB/desktop in Hong Kong and there does not appear to be any problem there. But wall charger?

Thanks! Now that is what I wanted to hear.

Since there are conflicting responses, let's hear from a few more, although it is good to see that someone has accomplished it. I guess I could try it at home before I take it on the road. That way I could just re-run BR at home immediately after.

I'm not at home right now to try it, but is anyone else able to test for this?

    Thanks!
