    Hello people

    My wife said she'd buy me a dock for my Touch for Christmas. so........

    I'm looking for something that i can drop my Touch into that allow me to play my music through, with good quality sound. maybe also allow it to wake me up as an alarm with music in the morning. something portable i can carry and plug in around the house wherever i'm working. something that might also have dab radio from my wireless broadband maybe? something that looks pretty cool too....you know the thing. (i think good sound quality is most important though).

    She's quite happy to put £100 into the pot, and i can top it up if necessary. Can anyone make any good suggestions/links maybe?

    thanks

    )

    another question though. i'd also like this item to play the radio too. doesn't look like the ip27 does, but, i can plug a radio into it by the sounds of it. But...is there an app i can buy for my Touch that'll stream BBC radio?

    I am making my own dock that will just use a 1/8" jack to plug into my sound system.
    Will be complete when I have aluminum, access to a milling machine, and a spare data cable (coming from hong kong, no idea when it will ship).
    Also thinking about integrating a powered USB hub into it.

    Well iHome docks have built in AM/FM tuners and im pretty sure they use am/fm in the UK... after some googling i think BBC wales is

    Get the sound of today's Wales with BBC Radio Wales - the national broadcaster ... 93 - 104 FM 657 & 882

    either 93-103 or 657 and 882 i think its 93/103

    so the fm tuner should work....

    also, i found a second one in case you wanted to take a look...

    this one is USD $100 and is the standard i guess

    this one is USD$149 and includes a remote that lets you control it.... i dunno if its really necessary

    Yeah, an iHome can play AM/FM radio.

    And, yes, there is an application to stream BBC Radio.
