iPod Disk Space?

    well i heard that if you convert the files on your pc in iTunes to AAC that it saves space and thus saves iPod space. is that true or does it not matter?

    Yes. My music is 128kbps AAC, and I have about 5000 songs that add up to about 20GBs..
    A 4-minute song in 128kbps AAC is probably around 3-4mb. The same song in 256kbps MP3 is probably around 8-9mb. I recommend converting if you're running out of space on your iPod touch.

    But you do lose quality, which I find most important. I have 7000 songs at 320+kbps and it takes 57GB

    Actually, you don't lose any. According to the Genius booth television screens at my Apple Store, it says AAC quality is just as good as the original file format quality. It just takes up less space.
