Ok, so I get up in the morning and use my iPod touch for about 10 mins on the internet. Then It has about 98% battery (I use the battery percentage hack from my Preferences mod). Then I get home from school and it has about 91% battery. Then I use it for another ten mins and it has about 81%.

Does anyone know why it is doing this? I am this close: |---| to restoring it. If anyone has some bright ideas tell me!

Unless you turn it off completely, it is using some charge to keep the contents of it's RAM.

RAM is volatile memory which means the information stored in it is lost when it has no power.

If it didn't do this it wouldnt be able to turn on instantly.

Turn off wifi and SSH when you're not using them.

But it didn't use to do this. Also SSH is off.

    One more question:

Should I pwn it? Or just use ZiPhone

There may have been some lag or that application you were using put more stress on the battery.

Videos, and some games have been known to do this.

Also be sure an app doesn't run in the background, such iSlsk, isn't active and has been exited.

You can look here for methods to cope.

I would. It makes everything simpler, apps added to fw.

Also the custom boot logos are definitely an advantage.

I went ahead with it. I restored and am installing cydia right now. Then I will put all my old stuff back on.

You wouldn't believe how much faster it is now!!!
