Its pretty much a niche product now,as always, you either need it or you don't.

I think when people buy a new iPod, they consider which one they want and then go with the iPod Touch.

I was hoping for an update.

If only they still did them in all white I'd buy one to replace my 1 gen iPod touch.

    still there's always colorware...

Thank heavens! I was holding out until they upgrade it though. Maybe I'll just stick with iPod touch and upgrade.

On a related note, anyone looking for an iPod touch with faulty jack watch the marketplace! XD

actually an HD camera would make more sence on the classic rather than on the touch...

im an ex-touch user switched to the classic...i dont see anything that needs to be updated on my little friend

    WHY SO SERIOUS???!

Frankly, I am glad the classic isn't getting an update.

I don't mind the touch screen but I prefer the classic when it comes to just playing music, occasional video (mostly with tv out cables) and game.

The touch screen UI just makes changing tracks allot more of a pain (at least for me).

That and there is no other iPod which matches even my 80GB video in terms of space.

Unless if they are the real music addict-types who want to carry their ENTIRE playlist at all times - that's where the iPod classic comes into the picture!
