    Hi,
I've tried restoring my iPod, but when it got to the end of the restore it came up with an error message "The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured. (13)"

    Please help!

It's displaying the image on my iPod of a cable and an arrow pointing towards the iTunes logo, but I'm stuck in the loop cos when I connect it to iTunes and click "restore" again it comes up with the error message!

Having just upgraded to version 8 software, I am now experiencing this problem as well.

Try placing your iPod in DFU Mode and then restore.

Here's some steps on how to do that:

Step 1. Turn off your iPod.

Step 2. Hold down the power and home button together.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode.

Thanks. But I'm still having major problems - whatever I do, it doesn't seem to work.

    Anyone got any other suggestions??

    Thanks

I've managed to get the touch into dfu mode (I think) and my laptap recognises that it's in recovery mode, ready to restore.

Trouble is, when i press 'restore' I'm still getting the 'unknown error occured (13)' after about 30 seconds...................

This is really getting on my tits - it's so frustrating.

Has the iPod been in water recently? Because that's what caused my error 13 and it's not fixable
