    hello people,

I've been noticing for the last couple weeks that my ipod touch (1st gen) starts buzzing when I Plug it into the computer. Any sugestions on what to do/why this is happening?

Did this happen before you upgrade to 3.0 or after?

you probably have a loose circuit. Put something that isn't flammable under the wire whenever you set it down on the table (rubber). Or try finding it and tape it up.

ok, now this is getting really weird, if i rest my arm on my ipod i fell a sharp sting, but not when it's unplugged. also, the metal backing of the printer does the same thing.

anyways, i don't quite understand where the loose circuit is.

Something is loose, probably in the cord for your iPod.

that sharp sting is just the electrical current passing through you as you are touching somethign that is earthing. Same happens to me if i put my legs up on my radiator and hold my ipod plugged in, as the current running from my pc to my ipod is then connected to my body and passing through the radiator, and you feel a weird tingling/stingy sensation

With my iPod Nano, i found that if I rub my finger on it, it feels like static or the thing is vibrating.. But when it is unplugged it was fine.

I'v enot noticed with the iPod Touch, though.
