Will I be able to jailbreak if I downgrade from 3.1.2 to 2.2.1 and use QuickFreedom? I don't think I can and I'm not sure if I would screw up in the middle because I heard the new iBoot for the 3G iPods were patched. Can you help? Thanks, Namespace.
EDIT: I forgot. I heard the 3G 8GB is the same as the 2G. Im using the 8gb so I'm confused now. Explain?

You are going to buy a 2G just so you can jailbreak it? Damn. At least wait a while and see if any new methods arise.

Why do you shut it off?

The iPod is designed to last longer in stand-by than shut down.

I'm not sure why, its a .NIX thing.

Dude, my ipod keeps lagging and freezing, I have to reboot it about every 3 hours of use. I restored about 5 times now and there's no improvement. I HATE blackra1n on my iPod. I dont care if i have a 3G or 2G. There's no difference between the 3g and 2g 8gig cept the iBoot and just a few minor adjustments. Anyways, i rather have a 2G 'cause my accessories are for 2G's. when I use my docks, it wont charge my ipod, i dont care now because the iPod is my sisters. I can also buy a 2G for around $60 dollars cheaper and a untethered jailbreak works for it for now.
