    Hey guys.
So every once in a while when I try to connect to my home router, the wifi symbol in the settings page is black. There is no password for it. Is this an issue with my router or my iPod?

Edit: Sorry I forgot to mention that when it is black it will not connect. Most of the time it is normal blue.

    try these:
    1) restart device
    2) reset network settings
    3) reset router
if none of those work, then u might have to restore.

    I usually do the following.
    Reset the router
    Reset iPod
    Unplug router from power supply
    Turn off wifi on iPod

usually none of those things work and I just have to wait until the icon turns blue again. It's quite annoying.

1st gen or 2nd gen? the 2nd gen ipods have issues connecting to wifi that uses WPA/WPA2 encryption

It's a first generation but the thing is there is no encryption on my router or there shouldn't be.
