IPOd Applications not Updating

    I have a 2G ipod touch with the most up to date SW (Ver 4.2). My itunes is also the latest (10) running from my MacBook.

    I took it to the apple store and the device was restored and the HW diagnostics confirmed that the device was ok.

    the problem is I cannot get updates from itunes either on the device or from the store. I can see the store and that I do indeed have updates waiting just that I "cannot connect to the ITunes store" msge comes up.

    Ideas?

    Poor wifi or bad internet connection.


    Or perhaps you typed in the
    wrong password.

    reset your router. try again.
    i doubt it is a wrong password because it would have popped up for you saying "wrong password"

    reset router.
    update the apps on your Mac then sync the updates through iTunes.

    I tried a different wireless network at a friend's house some distance away. Same error message trying to update from the device. Should I still try resetting my router?

    maybe its because your on 4.2?

    When I check for updates from iTunes, it says I have no updates available.
