    I've been having this problem with my iPod for the past 2 months now. Whenever I plug in my iPod it starts to charge then it dissconnects by itself and then connects again by itself when my iPod touch is still connected with the plug. When ever I try to sync my iPod I can't because it keeps on dissconnecting itself and then reconnecting. Is there any way to fix this? I have a first gen Ipod Touch firmware 2.1.

    Thank you sooo much

    Mine does the same thing, just pull the charger out a little to where you can see some of the metal. You should be good, but you can't touch it. I'm thinking about talking to someone from apple about this, because this is how they sent it when I got it a new one when my old one broke.

    So, that's all I have to do is tell them I think the connector is loose, because it isn't my charger that makes it happen, it is the iPod. I've tried 3 different chargers and it does it with all of them.

    You can but why? It takes a day or 2 for them to reply. Go to the store and if you can't call up.

    I can wait the two day, that's not a problem. It's not like Microsoft where it takes like 3 weeks to get a freaking reply.

    But, think about it. You have to wait until they get it and you have to E-Mail back and forth until they say to send it in and it gets more and more confusing. It can take more than a week to just get them to send a box to send in the iPod. I know from experience.

    You can reserve an appointment for the Apple Store. I'll give you the link. One second.

    EDIT:OK, go here and type in your ZIP Code. Click the Apple store you want to go to, and click "Make a Reservation" in the box that pops up.

    EDIT 2: You can call 1(800)APL-CARE {1(800)275-2273}

    EDIT 3: It actually says you CAN'T do E-Mail support.
