:( Ipod 3rd Gen wont...

    restore or update to the newest version. It seems to work fine with the older version but I dont know how to put it back to that one.

    It just gives me the connect to itunes screen. I called apple and alls they suggested to do was what I had already done. Ive even taken it to the apple store and then did something or another but the second I tired to update it when back into mess up mode.

    I just want to listen to my music away from my pc. Any help or suggestes pahleeasee. I get error code 1604 when I try to restore and update and this is the message they give:

    Try to download the desired firmware and installing it via iTunes.
