are you registered in the iPhone Developer Program, or did you ******* the FW? *******ing is a bad idea to do b/c you have to register your iPod's UDID number in your Apple Developer's Account. and the only way to register it is by paying the 99 dollar fee for the acc.

sry didnt read that part, umm try this:

    Close itunes (right click, exit)
Disconnect your iPod from your mac
turn off all sources of internet (Airport, LAN cable)
    open iTunes
    connect your iPod
    resync

    cheers.

the way i got mine to sync is when you connect your ipod, itunes will say "connecting to itunes store" in that ugly green window. CLICK THE X AT THE RIGHT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL IT STOPS. Then you will have your ipod info screen. sync like normal.

I had the same thing happen to me. I think it happens when you try to cancel a sync or unplug the sync cable as it's putting songs onto your iPod. I doubt it has anything to do with being in the developer program or not, since my UDID is registered and i had the problem. I fixed it by restoring btw.

I think it might be an iTunes 8.1 problem...
