Alright, I bought a 2G ipod touch a few months back. Once the tethered jailbreak was released, I was stoked. I quickly jail-broke my ipod and was happy. Since then, I haven't used it to much. It kinda sat in my car for awhile, I turned it on every now and then. The last time I turned it on, the battery was about to die. Now it is dead, can I can't do anything with it. It's a blank screen, when I plug it into my computer it isn't recognized.

ALSO: I have completly reformatted my (computer) hard drive since I did the jail break. So I don't have any restore software or anything like that. I need help getting this back to the factory settings please.

(I did see other threads such as this one but none of them helped me, sorry for the repost though)

I'll be waiting, if you can help me it would be appreciated.

Plug it into a wall charger, ps3, xbox 360 or something similar for like an hour. Then plug it into your computer and use a booting tool.

Try putting it into DFU mode while its hooked up to your computer?

    Maybe that'll work

DFU MODE: hold the power button and home button for 10 secs, then release the power button and hold the home button for about 5 secs more

I've done both of those. Neither will work. The screen just stays blank.

    Anything else?

You have to fully charge it first before doing anything else

Just charge it for a while.

Then be very exact with your DFU.

    Then rejailbreak with redsn0w 0.3
