I have a ipod touch 2g, that was on 2.2.1. Did a restore and upgraded to 3.0. From there i continued to upgrade using redsnow. I did everything correctly everything went fine. Got to the progress bar with the picture of the pineapple jogging. As soon as the progress bar fills up the ipod turns off. I tryed turning it on and nothing. I hooked it back up to the comp and it showed up as "Usb device not recognized". I literally sat there for about 10 mins with my fingers on the power and home button trying to force it into DFU mode, but nothing, and the "Usb device not recognized" notification would not go away.

    Any help please?

if you have one of those wall chargers then try pluging it in to that. if it doent turn on or you dont have one then i cant help you. If it does turn on put it in DFU mode and shift restore.

    You're not doing DFU correctly
    5 secs power
    10 secs power and home
    25 secs home button only

    this is wat i did.

Hooked up ipod to comp, The "USB device not recognized" Notification comes up.
At this time my ipod is still off with the screen completley black and non responsive to the buttons.

So i hold the power button... count the 5 seconds.

After those 5 i held the power and home... 10 seconds

and after that just the home...25 seconds. And still nothing. :/

    did i do something wrong?

    Try a DFU helper.

Remember = DFU is the answer to everything.
