Alright. First things first. I am not having a DFU issue, I am not having an issue patching files or creating the custom IPSW file.

When trying to restore the iPod (previously jailbroken using the tethered method), i follow the steps using rslite to put the unit into recovery mode. I hit restore and select my ipsw file (issue occurs with both both custom and OEM files), and iTunes says "Preparing iPod for restore". The iPod goes from a white screen to the apple logo and then a progress bar appears, but then the screen goes blank and the unit shuts itself off before the restore process can take place.

    Thoughts?

Yes it's charged up and even it it were not, it is connected to the computer and therefore charging. As for QuickFreedom, I'm on an iMac and it is near impossible to get the iPod to recognize in Parallels under DFU mode (as far as I have tried).
