Im a reseracher from university in Brazil.
And was messing around kernel libraries and stuff, in order to port the DirectFB to ipod 2g.
Somewhere in my steps i acidentilly copy new shared libraries into the /usr/lib and the ipod simply turns black.

I tried to put on DFU Mode, Recovery Mode, none of these modes work for me.
J have jailbreak with redsn0w, and already rebooted a lot my ipod, so i know how to enter DFU mode.
The iTunes doesnt recognize the ipod either the resnow, iboot or irecovery.

Someone have any tips for me ?
I never see this happen anywhere =/

I have tried Recovery mode, but no apple logo starts, no iTunes cable connect ... i got nothing.

Umm, you might be doing DFU Mode wrong..
I was jailbreaking my brother's iPod yesterday, and even though I put mine into DFU Mode tons of times, I missed his like...3-4 times every time I tried...

    Go to smellmysock.com/dfu.html .

It will give you the timing and stuff, if it doesn't help you.

    hello there people,
i seem to have the same problem too, but i have to say that i haven't jailbroken my ipod touch, which i bought on monday.
I was syncing my touch in itunes and after the sync ended, i closed itunes (in ipod's screen appeared still the battery icon), and i pulled the usb cable out of my pc. Then i pressed the home button of my ipod and nothing happened, again pressed sleep button and home and nothing again. the screen seems to be switched off and the ipod doesn't turn on whatever i do.
please tell me something, what can i do to turn it on?
    thank you

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I left on charge all afternoon on my wallcharger, dont know if its charging beacuse the screen is black and ddidnt got hot it all (weird).

I remember in the past to put in DFU mode, my itunes should pop-up or at least a sound of "beep", none of this is happening.

Im a very experient research, so when i say im 99% sure believe me (ive search all froums and google try to find a answer)
