Last night, an idea was thrown around that a boot from a TI-84 Calculator might be possible with a simple script. It just so happens I had all the utilities necessary, and I tried it out. Turns out, it works!

    What you Need
Mini USB to Female USB Cord
One iPod 30-Pin Male to USB Male Cord

    Prepping the Calculator
    Create this program:
Connect your iPod to the calculator using the above codes. Run the program and when it asks for an input type in "RUN RS".

    Bam, iPod is now booting!

This should work on any TI calculator with a master usb output. I'm not listing them, but just pay $5 for a cord and try it. Any device supporting a master USB output can technically boot your iPod.

wow amazing... iam just wondering.. since it can be done by a simple device such as a calculator, wouldnt a cellphone with an USB port connector do the job? because that calculator is kind of expensive and maybe not many of the users here have or are able to afford such calculator, so is there any chance that a cellphone will do the job??

Awesome. I jailbroke my friends 2G, he'll be so happy to hear this! In my next school we get exactly those calculators, at least they look the same. They're pretty fun.
