Jailbreaking iPod Touch 2.1 in Windows
This guide is for people who jailbroke but cant get cydia and installer to open!

    Downloads
    1. iTunes 8
    2. Ipod Touch 2.1 Firmware
    3. QuickPwnRC3.Morphey.Version.2.New
    4. DiskAid

    Jailbreaking Steps
    1. Open iTunes 8, and update to iPod Touch firmware 2.1.

    2. Run the QuickPWN file and browse to select your iPod 2.1 firmware.
    3. Follow the on-screen steps, choose Installer and Cydia.
This will bring up a command terminal that will guide you through the actual jailbreak process. It takes a few minutes, but its not complicated.

    4. Once finished, your iPod will reboot, but Installer and Cydia won't be visible!!!

    5. Connect your iPod Touch via USB to your computer and launch the DiskAID program.

    6. When the DiskAid screen launches, you'll see a drop-down box on the bottom left that says "Media Folder". Click on it, and select "Root Folder" instead.

    7. You'll get a Root Partition message, just click ok!

    8. File navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/Caches and delete the com.apple.mobile.installation.plist

    9. Now reboot your iPod and you should see a jailbreaken iPod Touch 2.1! Enjoy.

Credits to aclark. I just revised his guide to the way i did it.

Thanks a lot for your effort, sadly this turned my JB 2.1 itouch from a JB 2.1 itouch without cydia and installer into an apple logo displayer needing complete restore.

    Use at your peril
