iPod 1G back Replacement

    I was at the Football last night, me and my dad were having a chat about me giving my 1ST Gen to my Step-brother, then I brought up that the inscription on the back reads: "James Prince, 2007" My dad says he could machine that off (he is the boss of a big manufacturing company) and I said: "Well you could try and make a new back for it

    So he agreed. But what is the best material to make the back out of (scratch-resistent)

    Something easy to obtain I'm guessing guys -_- make it like a 3g type back. Black not chrome. No really sure which material is scratch proof.
