    Hi all

I have had the need to restore and re-jailbreak a couple of times (we are dealing with bleeding edge software afterall)

However, i was wondering if its possible to use iphuc to backup the rom in its state before installing something new...thus making the process of restoring the ipod much less painful (in terms of the time to put all settings back in etc)

    So principal is:

    Prior to new app..
    Connect ipod to iphuc
    use: getfile /dev/rdisk0s1 rdisk0s1 314572800

    If it goes wrong

    Restore ipod
    Goto jailbreak tiff site
Connect to iphuc and do a "putfile" of the completely hacked and custo'd firmware.

Ok....thats my idea .... am i talking out of my arse on this one or am i understanding correct that the 300mb rdisk0s1 IS the correct file.

    Thoughts?

If anyone can confirm or deny that using iphuc to get the rdisk file would effectively make a future jailbreak painless all apps/custo's pre-done.

    Please
