    Hi,
I am thinking about buying an iphone from the US, but I live in the UK. I guess it is compatible and I could use it in the UK?

    Are there any known issues?

You would have to unlock it.

Once I have unlocked it does that mean I can use on UK networks? I believe there are 2 networks I can use - orange and vodaphone.

As long as they are GSM. I do not know though because I am from the U.S. and am not familiar with European Networks.

GSM is SIM right? I think I seen a few people using Q2 with the iPhone! I'm in Canada, but have some European friends on Facebook.

    Anyway,
Your best bet is to make sure that there is a carrier in the UK that will support your iPhone, then you go and order one, plug it in and use blackra1n and go to the new blackra1n icon you have on your iPhone and install ultrasn0w and Rock or Cydia and enjoy your new iPhone!
