Yes it is. Im not very up to date on the iphone but im quite sure its just running a program. The only thing that sucks about Canada is they dont have an unlimited data plan. What costs the states like $70 will cost like $250 here. Thats what stopped me from buying the iphone.

    iPhone with Rogers

Leo LePorte from TWIT (twit.tv) said he tried an unlocked iphone with Rogers last time he was up in vancouver and that it *didn't* work.

A friend is picking one up in Detroit either today or tomorrow and shipping it to me in Edmonton.

Yes you can unlock it and use it with Rogers (which is what I'm going to do). You just need to refrain from using the data intensive features.....unless you can afford a $200-$300 bill each month.

He probably didn't have all the WAP/MMS/Internet settings setup in the phone.

It seems kind of silly to me to have an iPhone and not be able to take use of the data features. Have fun getting charged .50 cents everytime you accidentally hit the safari button though!

If only Rogers would get a unlimited data plan.
Thats the only thing holding Iphone from coming to Canada.
