the iphone was dropped and now it will not sync to itunes, charge, and the home button is not working.

how do i restore? i can't get get into DFU mode or restore. i can only go to the screen where it says connect to itunes.

even when i do that, itunes does not recognize it.

i've tried ziphone, iliberty, and quickpwn to try to put it in DFU mode but the computer doesn't see it at all so those programs will not either.

sounds more like a hardware problem, hope your warranty hadn't expired yet...

I'm not saying it can't be done but if his home button is not working how can it be put into DFU mode?

Like eozoon mentioned your best bet depends if its still under warranty.

    false.

unfortunately, it has. it's also unlocked and apple will not work on unlocked iphones, even if warranty hasn't expired.

    How is it false?

You can DFU no matter what. It is in the hardware, not the software.

Except of course your home button is broke.
