How much would it cost to use Wi-fi on the iphone in a different country to the one you've bought it in?

as long as your getting a cell signal im pretty sure the 3g wifi that you purchase is also supposed to me covered in those areas however as the above user stated public wifi is free so look and see how many wifi spots there might be near wherever your staying

oh because on the o2 website (website where you buy iphone 3g PAYG) it says that free wi-fi is only in the UK.

    http://www.o2.co.uk/iphone/paygo

*Unlimited data and Wi-Fi applies to use in the UK only, subject to excessive usage policy. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available at any of the Wi-Fi hotspots from our partners The Cloud or BT Openzone. Terms apply.

    see what i mean?

I think its poorly worded. They probably mean cellular service. Wi-Fi is universal.

This means that the cloud and bt openzone hotspots are free to use in the uk, normally they cost to use. If you can find a free or unprotected wifi hotspot abroad then you can use that.
