SO i am thinking about upgrading my jb iphone currently on 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. But what are the risk of me lossing my phone with nates jb. I am a mac user. The apps that don't work can i fix the like sound, and mail, and other stuff. Pls post the ups and down about upgrading.
Im not sure about iPhone but these are the ipods ups and downs Ups: -Wiggly icon arrangement thing -webclips -locate me/drop pin/w.e's new -mail works (if you download the fix) -could change the dock but its a time consuming process Downs: -can only have a black wallpaper atm -someone reported that you cant set sounds on the alarms/stopwatch -not all 1.1.1/1.1.2 apps work on 1.1.3 -not sure if you could put any colour themes (like change the safari skin still? not sure) thats all i can name from the top of my head, post some if i forgot something
I personally would NOT risk Nate's jailbreak on an iPhone. You can't brick an iPod touch, but it is possible to (temporarily) ruin an iPhone so that it can't be used as a phone. If it did mess things up, it could be fixed, but it might take a hell of a lot of work.
I did it on my iPhone and I don't see a problem so far. Locate Me doesn't work, but you can make it work by upgrading to 1.1.3 (thru itunes) downgrading to 1.1.1 and soft-upgrading to 1.1.3. I'm also on a Mac. I just checked and alarm sounds work for me
thanks but if i want to upgrade and i am in 1.1.2. will the alarm, apps and specially the locate me maps feature work? has someone tryd this on an iphone. EDIT:Hello!!!???!!! ANyone there.
