So my friend has an iPhone and i was trying to upgrade and jailbreak it, everything went well until i tried restoring using the custom IPSW. iTunes gave me the error (6) because i wasn't in DFU mode, i was in recovery mode. So now evertime i boot my iPhone it goes straight into recovery mode.

    Any help?

    Thanks

from recovery mode you are still able to put it in dfu so to do this
    1. connect your ipod and open itunes and if a pop up comes up close it
    2. turn the screen off by holding sleep+wake and let go of BOTH when the screen turns off
    3. once the screen is off wait a minute and hold both buttons and after 10 seconds (make it EXACT) let go of ONLY the sleep/wake button but keep holding the home button for about 15 more seconds till you get a pop up in itunes.
after step 1 your ipod should not turn on. (it should appear as if its off)
