My phone has data with NAVIGON locations and everything. I'm running 3.1.2 and I want to upgrade and jailbreak to a 4.x firmware. How can I backup my locations and everything? Do I save the app to iTunes? Do I backup my phone and if I want them back just restore from my backup? Or do I have to have some jailbroken application to save my locations and stuff?

OR: Can I update and jailbreak to 4.x without restoring?

NOTE: IT IS AN iPHONE 3G OLD BOOTROM JAILBROKEN AND UNLOCKED WITH PWNAGE TOOL FOR 3.1.2

Updating should do you just fine. Make a backup just in case though.

I mean Sn0wbreeze can work. It's an iPhone 3G Old Bootrom. It's jailbreakable with pwnage tool or redsn0w or whatever. I just want to know. If i backup, will it save my saved locations for my NAVIGON GPS or is there a program that I can use right now to save it?

I think it saves it in a backup. I'm not sure though.

Go to where the app folder
    Is probably var/mobile/library/applications

There should be random numbers on folders. In the on that has navigon an backup The documents folder. When you restore copy the folder back
