my mobile email i just like yours...I have the icon, but crashes as soon as i open it..no big loss to me..only wanted Maps, weather, notes....
u have to have part of the iphone 1.1.1 firmware to use mail.app u can download all the files from somewhere here and stick that file in and viola mail!
Noktulo reports in another thread that he got it working by chmod'ing the mail bundle to 755.. If a chmod was all that's needed then you simply type /bin/chmod 755 /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/MobileMailSettings.bundle I'm not entirely sure that was all there is to it since my Mail already works and I can't retrace my steps so you guys will have to report back if it works!
Hmmm alright. Well, I'll have the MobileMail app from another source up soon so you guys can try with that instead. It's not impossible that the app I put up has somehow been corrupted on the way.. Gotta get something to eat now though, bbiab.
well that fixed the mail menu in the mail settings but my mail still crashes. i see the mail icon now and everything in the mail settings works fine. but the mail app still crashes. I can also set up my mail accounts in the setting but not in the mail app itself. i can also send messaages but only if i wrote it in notepad and send it by clicking the enevlope icon
