Has anyone ever used their iPod/iPhone and wished that it worked in landscape ALL THE TIME (Obviously excluding portrait games, but not portrait apps)? I have, and I think that using the iPhone OS in landscape would be great. Yes, I know what SBRotator is, and I am aware of the legion of landscape themes, but this is different.

I want someone to create an app that FULLY sets the iPhone OS landscape.

From the moment you click 'on', you will see a rotated Apple logo,
you'll type in your password LANDSCAPE, your springboard will be LANDSCAPE (like SBRotator, but with much less glitches and the icons fully populate the page, without the need to modify them), and apps like Settings, facebook or anything else that runs portrait will be re-optimized to run in landscape (this rules out games that need portrait to be displayed correctly).

What else I would like to see added (will update this as I get more ideas):

*A new multitasking UI that works with Backgrounder but it LANDSCAPE friendly.
*(not necessary, but would be welcomed) Side-by side multitasking, IE, displays apps side by side so you can see each app and work on both at the same time.
*An Infinidock-style dock that rolls along without paging (I know ID already does this) and actually has no limit to the amount of apps that could be run (infinidock is capped at 50).
*The ability to use certain apps (youtube, web browser, IM, social networking, or just your photo slideshow) while on the springboard (icons fade away and window with app appears over the dock).

That's just something that I would like to see and I would pay up to $30US dollars for it.

I believe Apple should have done this a long time ago.

Please comment on this if you like, add any suggestions and have a crack at making this app if you think you know your stuff (I don't want any royalties if you do sell this, but please give credit to me and make sure all buyers know that this was MY idea).

Ok, but I can see it hasn't been implemented.

This would probably take a LONG time to implement. Why not just bring out a new iPod Touch and say it's landscape instead of portrait? I don't think it would be possible to hack the entire OS and to do it from an app or whatever it is you want to load it from. It's possible, but you would have to pay a crap load of cash for it, probably over 30$. The only reason I say it would cost so much, is because the developer(s) has/have spent so much time on it and they wouldn't just throw up it on Cydia for free, they'd demand a big amount of cash.
