either buy myself a 2nd Generation iPod touch(i have the 1st gen), or a 3G iPhone....
I'm in need of a new phone, and I'm pretty sure i qualify for the reduced priced iPhone. Money is a factor in my case

I'm not sure whether to buy any regular att phone, get a new 16 gig iPod touch, and sell my 1st gen ipod touch (and have money left over)....or sell ipod touch and maybe renew my contract or buy one off of ebay or craigslist or something, and have no money left over

If you need a phone and want to get rid of your first iPod touch, the iPhone 3G seems the way to go to me. Why carry 2 devices (a phone and an iPod) when you can have them both in one?

Exactly what I was thinking. Just sell your 1st generation and use the money and some extra to get your self an iPhone 3G.
