    8 Gig 2g

Well Basically, I Think its just the lcd. It was never Dropped.. But i don't have a warranty. It started with my Daughter went into the tanning bed with it. But I don't think that is the problem. Im thinking about buying a new LCD And installing it myself even though i hear its a very risky thing to do.

There is just grey lines going Verticly down the left side of the screen. I notice when the screen is off there is little black marks indicating the pixels are burnt Out?

has anyone else here ever seen a thing like it?

And if so. How did the Replacement Installation go?

If it is an iPhone 3G there shouldn't be too much problem replacing it.
But, if it is a first generation iPhone, DO NOT DO IT! On these the LCD is held to the glass touch screen with very strong adhesive, making it literally impossible to separate the LCD panel from the glass front without shattering one or the other.

Definitely get it replaced or try one of the dead pixel apps. Couldn't hurt.

    well which iphone is it?
as it was said above if its the 3G then its easy to replace yourself, but i still suggest going to apple with it, of course you should restore before going to apple for a replacement... dont want them saying that it was the jailbreak's fault
