    Ok so heres the deal:

    Got iPhone
Jailbroke on friends mac using pwnage tool.
    Unlocked using bootnueter
Restored in DFU mode to Clean 2.2.1 Firmware
iPhone boots, still unlocked, can recieve text messages.
Stuck on "Slide for emergancy" screen and need to activate it.

When I run quickpwn, i get the error

"the ipsw file you selected does not match the firmware version Quickpwn supports"

Yes im on the latest version of Quickpwn, and tryed it with different downloads and 3 different downloads of the 2.2.1 firmware.

I put my device in DFU mode and restore and it hangs in itunes on prepairing and then my device boots out of DFU mode and into normal mode back to the "Side for emergency" Screen.

Same for Restore mode restore and normal mode restore.

Downloaded a custom ipsw file and restored with it in DFU mode, gave me error 1600 and in restore mode it gave 1604, but each time the device boots to the Side for emergency screen..

Currently im downloading a leopard vmware image to create a custom ipsw file in that and then try restoring with that in windows.

    Any help please?

Just out of curiosity is this the same one that was dropped in your previous thread?

When you went through Pwnage Tool did you tell it to activate the iPhone?

Even with an un-activated phone any SIM should start it going through the activation process and get out of the "slide for emergency" screen. Also, it is kind of odd that you can get text messages with it (it has cellular service but stuck on the emergency screen).
