Let say they release a Jailbreak for 2.0 and I have an iPhone 3G with an AT&T plan will I be able to Jailbreak my iPhone and continue using my AT&T contract without a problem?

So like my contract won't be affected and I have no chance of like bricking my iphone or something like that?

Just want to be sure before I do something stupid I had a Jailbroken ipod touch and I just bought an iPhone 3g.

    No.
The only way you'll brick your device is if you run a program that flashes the S-Gold radio maliciously.
A program to actually brick the radio would have to be coded by someone with a fair bit of knowledge on the subject, and it is incredibly unlikely that you'd ever see one.
Of course, some solutions can do very bad things that don't involve bricking.
Anything done by Pwnage is reversible, however some others aren't.
Stay away from any other programs, ZiPhone especially, even though a new version will most likely never come..
Just stick to Dev Team solutions and you'll be safe.
